High Availability and Disaster Recovery in Microsoft Azure Virtual Machines Jumpstart

Introduction

To successfully deliver High Availability (HA), Disaster Recovery (DR) and Backup for SQL Server on Microsoft Azure Virtual Machines (VMs), a high level of knowledge and experience with HADR and backup for SQL Server on Microsoft Azure VMs is required. This document will help delivery consultants to familiarize themselves with the various area of expertise related to HADR and backup related to. It can also be used by Engagement Managers to set expectations for the resources delivering the offering.
